Anime Bullet Bullet marks the creative return of Sunghoo Park, the acclaimed director behind Jujutsu Kaisen and Ninja Kamui. This time, Park presents a fully original story, set in a bold environment with out-of-the-box characters. The series lands on Disney+ on July 16, 2025, delivering a post-apocalyptic world, eccentric protagonists, intense action, and a striking visual style.
To bring this vision to life, Park joined forces with E&H Production, a studio he founded himself. Together, they crafted a project that leans into a strong visual identity and a fast-paced narrative. With that in mind, the anime aims to capture the attention of Japan’s summer audience—and perhaps become the next cult hit in the streaming world.

Bullet Bullet: Synopsis
Personagem Gear.
Gear is a young man working at a replacement parts shop in a world left in ruins. He forms an unlikely team with Shirokuma, a gambling polar bear, and Qu-0213, a robot with four alternating personalities. Together, they recover stolen items and face the dangers of a lawless society.
However, everything changes when Noa, a mysterious girl, hires the trio for a special mission. From that point on, their journey takes them into conflict with forces far greater than they imagined.
Creative Team and Direction
Sunghoo Park directs the anime, backed by a crew known for their standout work. Aki Kindaichi wrote the script, while Takahiro Yoshimatsu—recognized for Trigun and Hunter x Hunter—designed the characters.
In addition, Hidetaka Tenjin and Shin Misawa lead the visual design of vehicles and mechanics. The duo is known for dynamic action sequences involving machines and high-tech visuals in past productions.
Soundtrack
The series also doubles down on a strong musical identity. First off, rapper Chanmina performs the opening theme, “WORK HARD”. Then, the closing theme “Glass Door” by the band Newspeak adds emotional weight to the story.
Both tracks were created exclusively for the anime, adding to its distinctive auditory experience.
Release and Distribution

The anime will be released in two parts on Disney+. The first half, featuring eight episodes, premieres on July 16, 2025. The second half, with four final episodes, follows on August 13.
For now, the show is exclusive to Disney’s platforms. Therefore, there’s no announced release on other streaming services.
